THINGS TO KNOW

  • The blue trash barrel is for recyclable waste. The brown is for everything else. Trash is picked up every Monday. Place the trash and recyclable barrels out on the curb for pickup on Sunday nights and return them to the side of house on Monday after they are emptied. The city can issue fines for leaving trash barrels out the day after they are emptied. Fines, if issued, will be deducted from your deposit.
  • When moving out, please do the following:
    • Place all trash in recycle/garbage barrels.
    • Leave used towels and linens on floor in laundry room.
    • Turn heater down to lowest setting/turn off A/C
    • Turn off all lights
    • Dishes should be clean, however a few rinsed dishes in dishwasher from last minutemeals are okay.
    • Leave the keys inside house on the table by the door, and lock the screen door behind you. We have our own key for entry. Red door can't be locked without a key. We're fine with that. Locked screen door is adequate.
  • Deposits will be refunded after we have evaluated and cleaned the apartment.
  • When not using chair cushions out doors, please bring them indoors/under patio roof.
  • A circuit breaker might flip when running the toaster and coffee maker (or similarcombination) at the same time. If this happens, you can find the circuit breakers in the closet of the 2nd bedroom (the one with the outside door). Reset BOTH triggered circuit breakers in the top row by flipping them all the way off, and then return them back to the set “on” position. There are ground fault circuits in the kitchen. Make sure they are engaged (it shuts the refrigerator down if tripped).
  • If present, close umbrella when it is not being used. Preferably bring it under the patio roof, or tie it shut when left in table.
